Bear World Media is proud to launch their new online magazine, Gay 50 Plus. Its mission is to inspire and support older LGBTQ people to keep living amazing lives!
With sections including entertainment, travel, food & drink and style, this magazine is telling people not only is it OK to be gay, it’s also OK to be older! These sections will help inspire people to enjoy life and show them how to grow older gracefully, or disgracefully! The magazine is specifically aimed people aged 45-65, although of course it is open to all ages!
However, there is a serious side to the magazine too. Growing older is an inevitability and there are topics that shouldn’t be avoided. So, alongside the fun, there are serious messages around health, finances and retirement. In addition, sections on news and politics inform the community on issues that might affect them.
CEO of Bear World Media, Richard Jones said: “I am so proud to be launching our new site, Gay 50 Plus. There’s a joke in the LGBT community that you are old and forgotten once you are over 40, and it can sometimes seem that way when you look at most images of ourselves in the media. Our goal is to showcase how life can be lived at 50 and beyond while remaining relevant, because for most of us, a fun and busy life is just beginning!”
